Tomato soup recipe

Ingredients
- Ripe tomatoes - 4 nos (large sized)
- Garlic cloves - 4 nos
- Bay leaf - 1
- Black pepper powder - as required
- Corn flour - 1 teaspoon
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Butter - 1 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
Method
Step 1
HOW TO MAKE TOMATO SOUP RECIPE Heat a small pressure cooker. Add butter, bay leaf, garlic cloves and tomatoes. Stir fry for half a minute.
Step 2
Add 1 cup of water and close the pressure cooker with the lid. Pressure cook upto 3 whistles.
Step 3
Once pressure is cooled down, discard the skin of the tomatoes and keep the boiled tomatoes aside.
Step 4
Grind the boiled tomatoes and garlic cloves in a mixer without using water. You can also use the blender to puree the tomatoes.
Step 5
Strain the tomato puree in a separate bowl, with the help of a strainer and keep aside.
Step 6
Heat a separate pan. Add the strained tomato puree and boil for 3-4 minutes on a low flame. Mix cornflour with 2 tablespoons of water and add. Boil till you get a thick consistency.
Step 7
Add sugar and salt according to taste. Remove from flame.
Step 8
Sprinkle pepper powder on the top and serve tomato soup hot. You can also add cream if desired.
