INGREDIENTS
Grated carrot – 4 cups
Milk – 1 cup
Sugar – 1/2 cup
Ghee – 2 tablespoons
Cardamom powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Cashewnuts – 1 tablespoon
Raisins – 1 tablespoon
HOW TO MAKE OR PREPARE MICROWAVE CARROT HALWA RECIPE
Mix ghee and grated carrots in a microwave bowl. Microwave on 100 percent power for 2 minutes. Then add milk and mix well.
Add sugar and cardamom powder. Mix well. Microwave uncovered for 15 minutes on high power. Mix once after 5 minutes.
Microwave again for another 10 minutes or till the milk is fully absorbed by the carrots. Allow a standing time of 5 minutes.
Garnish with ghee roasted cashewnuts and raisins.
Serve gajar ka halwa hot or cold as desired, decorated with nuts.
NOTES/TIPS
You can add 1/2 a cup of fresh mawa/khoya alongwith milk, for a more enhanced flavour.
It stays good for upto a week when kept in the fridge.
