Eggless French toast is a easy and quick breakfast recipe with bread, custard powder, sugar, ghee and milk.  It can be prepared with minimum ingredients which are  easily available at home.  Custard powder is used in this recipe instead of eggs, which gives a crispy texture to the bread.  You can use atta bread or multigrain bread or even brown bread for this recipe.  French toasts are best served hot or warm with a cup of milk or tea or coffee.  You can sprinkle little cinnamon powder or top them with little honey, nuts or fruits.

NOTES/TIPS

If you do not have custard powder, you can use corn starch or corn flour.

Ensure to cook on low flame for even cooking and crisp golden toast.

I used vanilla flavoured custard powder and hence did not add vanilla essence.  If it is plain custard powder, add vanilla essence for flavour.

Ensure to quickly dip the bread slice in custard mixture on both the sides or else bread slices tend to become mushy and stuck to the pan.
