HOW TO MAKE OR PREPARE MASALA IDLI RECIPE

Add chopped onions and saute till they become translucent. Then add ginger-garlic paste and curry leaves. Saute till the raw smell of the ginger-garlic goes away.
Add chopped tomatoes and cook till they become soft. Then add red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt, Mix well.
Sprinkle little water and mix the spices well with the mixture. Then add chopped idlis and mix very well. Add tomato ketchup and mix again.
Once the mixture is well absorbed by the idlis and become moist and soft, switch off the flame. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
NOTES/TIPS
You can also use mini idlis instead of regular idlis. In that case, you need not chop them.
You can add pav bhaji masala instead of garam masala. It gives a different and good flavour to the idlis.
