Rose lassi is a cooling beverage made with yoghurt/curd and flavoured with rose syrup.  Lassis are very popular in North India especially during summers.  Rose syrup and curd are both cooling and hence makes up for an ideal drink during heat.  Rose syrup gives a natural pink colour to the drink and kids specially love to have this.  Do try this refreshing drink this summer, which is  filling as well as delicious.

Prep Time :  10 mins

Servings :  2 persons

Indian cuisine


Chilled fresh curd/yoghurt – 2 cups

Chilled milk – 1/2 cup

Rose syrup – 4 tablespoons

Sugar – 1 teaspoon or add as required (optional)

Cardamom powder – 1/2 teaspoon


Take a bowl.  Add the curd and rose syrup.  Then add milk and cardamom powder.  Mix well.

Take it to the blender jar or mixer.  Blend everything well till it becomes frothy and smooth.  Pour the lassi into a serving glass.

Serve rose lassi chilled



You can garnish with chopped almonds or pistachios or cashews and then serve.

Rose syrup itself is very sweet.  So add sugar accordingly.

Add ice-cubes to serve it chilled immediately or store the lassi in refrigerator and then serve chilled.

You can add rooh afza instead of rose syrup.
