HOW TO MAKE OR PREPARE MALAI OR PANEER MODAK RECIPE

Take the paneer in a plate.  Mash the paneer nicely by hand.

Heat a pan on low flame.  Add the crumbled paneer, condensed milk and saffron strands.  Cook on a low flame stirring continuously.  Mix the ingredients well and mash the larger granules of paneer with the ladle or spatula.

Grease the modak mould with little ghee.  Keep it aside.  Cook the mixture for 8-9 minutes on a low flame.

The mixture will start to thicken and leave the sides of the pan.  Then switch off the flame.  Allow the mixture to cool down completely.

Take a small portion of the mixture and place it in the mould.  Level the bottom of the mould.  Now close the mould tightly and  remove the excess mixture from the edges of the modak mould.

Demould carefully and arrange it in a plate.  Repeat the process and  grease the mould again to make the modaks.

Delicious  modaks are now ready to be served as prasad to Lord Ganesha.

NOTES/TIPS

Keep it refrigerated.  It stays for good for upto 2 days.

Ensure to grease the mould everytime you make the modaks.

Always cook the mixture on a low flame to avoid the mixture getting burnt.
