Oats peanut ladoo are a healthy and tasty ladoos made with oats, unsalted peanuts, jaggery and cardamom powder.  This is a no ghee no sugar recipe.  Peanuts ooze oil when ground, which helps in binding these ladoos. The natural oils in the peanuts helps to bind the ladoos without use of the ghee or milk. These ladoos gives you quick energy when consumed.  They are a healthy treat for kids and elders as well.  Oats are rich in fibre and gives a feeling of fullness when consumed and peanuts are full of proteins.  Do try this yummy and nutritious ladoo made with very few and easily available ingredients at home.  It stays good for 2-3 days in room temperature and when refrigerated for upto a week.

INGREDIENTS

Oats – 1 cup

Roasted unsalted peanuts – 1 cup

Jaggery – 3/4 cup

Cardamom powder – 1/4 teaspoon

HOW TO MAKE OR PREPARE OATS PEANUT LADOO RECIPE

Heat a non-stick pan or kadai  on medium flame.  Dry roast the peanuts.    Once cooled down, remove the skin and set aside.

To the same pan, add oats and dry roast it till light golden in colour and little crisp.

Switch off the flame and allow the roasted ingredients to cool down.  Then take them to a grinder .  Add cardamom powder to it.  Grind them to a fine powder.

Add the jaggery to the ground powder and then grind again so that it is crushed fine and peanuts ooze little oil.

The ground mixture  will slightly  stick to the sides of the mixer.  Now you can remove the ground mixture to a bowl.  Now mash them well by hand.   Take little portion of the mixture and shape them into a ladoo with your palm.

Yummy ladoos are ready to be served.  Store them in an airtight container.

NOTES/TIPS

If you are not able to bind the ladoos, add 1 tablespoon of milk or little ghee and then bind the ladoos.  In that case, try to consume the ladoos within 2 days, as its shelf life is reduced with the use of milk.

Add a teaspoon of roasted white sesame seeds for an extra and unique flavor.

You can also add roasted dry fruits.

You can add ghee and make the ladoos to make it more rich.
